Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dennis Erhard kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Carsten Basing managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arsenal Köln's supporters rose to their feet, but Carsten Basing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian Skrotzki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Neo Lötzsch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Fabian Skrotzki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Dennis Erhard notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Arsenal Köln's Janko Brecher. Janko Brecher was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 24 minutes, Neo Lötzsch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arsenal Köln's supporters crossed their fingers, but Neo Lötzsch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 28 minutes, Gernot Garefrekes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arsenal Köln and the Fortuna Selbach players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 28 played minutes Arsenal Köln got a freekick which was hit by Gernot Garefrekes. Neo Lötzschs short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Fabian Skrotzki to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Neo Lötzsch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carsten Basing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Skrotzki having to interfere. Fortuna Selbach's Fabian Skrotzki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Fortuna Selbach from getting a goal against them. Carsten Basing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Carsten Basing made the kick off in the second half. When Fortuna Selbach's Dennis Erhard in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arsenal Köln's goalie prevented a goal. After 61 played minutes Arsenal Köln got a freekick which was hit by Carsten Basing. 64 minutes into the game, Dennis Erhard recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Janko Brecher. Dennis Erhard showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. In the 67th minute Neo Lötzsch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Skrotzki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Carsten Basing got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 71st minute, Neo Lötzsch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Fortuna Selbach's goal looked a bit too open when Neo Lötzsch came free, but Fabian Skrotzki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Carsten Basing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Carsten Basing came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Arsenal Köln fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carsten Basing couldn't finish the play. If Neo Lötzsch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Carsten Basing's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabian Skrotzki was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Fabian Skrotzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neo Lötzsch in the 90th minute of play. Carsten Basing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabian Skrotzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carsten Basing in the 96th minute of the match. Chants of Fortuna Selbach echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Arsenal Köln had held the ball for most of the match.
