When Robbie Schimmöller fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lamscheid FSV's protests and gave Robbie Schimmöller a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Lamscheid FSV getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. After a rather tough play, Lamscheid FSV's Marvin Deicke got a free kick in the 6th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Heidesiedlung's Sigmund Tamm broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Heidesiedlung getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Erik Nikolai hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Nikolai in the 12th minute of play forced Lamscheid FSV's goalkeeper Nikolai Behm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nino Gebert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dariusz Steffel having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Erik Nikolai had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nikolai Behm. Lamscheid FSV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erik Nikolai was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Georg Nagler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Erik Nikolai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Heidesiedlung fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 36th minute, Charles Hörter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nikolai Behm was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 40th match minute, Heidesiedlung was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Krapf to maneuver through the defense. Erik Nikolai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Pascal Pawlowitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Nikolai in the 46th minute of play forced Lamscheid FSV's goalkeeper Nikolai Behm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Lamscheid FSV players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Heidesiedlung were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Charles Hörter made a kick off. After some careless play in the Lamscheid FSV defense, Erik Nikolai kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nikolai Behm. The Lamscheid FSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nikolai Behm should have stopped the shot. When Alois Barthle fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Heidesiedlung's protests and gave Alois Barthle a yellow card for diving instead. Alois Barthle hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Charles Hörter struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Nikolai Behm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heidesiedlung. After having played for 65 minutes, Charles Hörter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Heidesiedlung's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charles Hörter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 71st minute, Erik Nikolai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nikolai Behm was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. 75 minutes into the game, Lamscheid FSV's Nino Gebert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dariusz Steffel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Erik Nikolai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Nikolai Behm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nikolai Behm made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Erik Nikolai sent off a good shot on target.
