Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Berthold Burgdorf started the match with the kick off. Rappo Ottmar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rudolf Pott having to make a save. Rudolf Pott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rappo Ottmar in the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berthold Burgdorf in the 6th minute of play forced Ohlenhard FSV's goalkeeper Tommy Werner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 minutes of play, 1.FC Nürnberg's Berthold Burgdorf made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Werner was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 12th minute Berthold Burgdorf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Werner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rappo Ottmar in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rudolf Pott, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rappo Ottmar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Rudolf Pott when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ohlenhard FSV's Rouven Neumann suffered a sore thigh after 24 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ohlenhard FSV's Heiko Ressemann was substituted for Rouven Neumann. In the 26th match minute, 1.FC Nürnberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berthold Burgdorf to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Ronald Scholz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Werner was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When Clint Deling fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 1.FC Nürnberg's protests and gave Clint Deling a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice moves Ronald Scholz could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Tommy Werner however easily saved by the left post. Gretel Lindenthal hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Tommy Werner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronald Scholz in the 77th minute. After 78 played minutes 1.FC Nürnberg got a freekick which was hit by Berthold Burgdorf. In the 85th minute, Ladislaus Ukrow hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hermann Schneider charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hermann Schneider the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ohlenhard FSV getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Hermann Schneider hit a great ball. In the 89th minute of the match Graciano Fazio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rudolf Pott skillfully saved the ball. Ronald Scholz kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. 1.FC Nürnberg's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
