The supporters of FSV Lanzenhausen booed when Hamburger SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eros Kellner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Mathias Drewniak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the match, Hamburger SV's goalkeeper Jan Hänssler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amos Hofmeister. Mathias Drewniak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Hänssler having to interfere. In the 97th minute, FSV Lanzenhausen got a penalty, and Rik Hettlich placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. FSV Lanzenhausen played a much better game than Hamburger SV and deserved their victory. The Hamburger SV players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
