Sammy Rippert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermann Kraus in the 18th minute of the match. Josip Kemski took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan Hänssler. Jan Hänssler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. A hard shot 25 in the game by Josip Kemski from a close distance when the talented Jan Hänssler managed to make a qualified save. Hamburger SV's players were relieved. Josip Kemski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jan Hänssler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Josip Kemski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan Hänssler was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Peter Andreowsky showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 35 minute of play. Yildiz Koch hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Hamburger SV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Herlikofen FC:s goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Peter Andreowsky was the one to do the kick off. Jan Hänssler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Andreowsky, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 55 minutes into the match, Hamburger SV's goal looked a bit too open when Josip Kemski came free, but Jan Hänssler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Hänssler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Andreowsky in the 57th minute of play. A hard shot by Michael Rauen from long distance, 59 minutes into the match, got Sammy Rippert's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 78thth minute of the game Josip Kemski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hamburger SV's Jan Hänssler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jan Hänssler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Andreowsky in the 99th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Herlikofen FC fully deserved thier win.
