After 17 minutes of play, FSV Lanzenhausen's Amos Hofmeister made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Klaus Bettinger was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bert Dettinger lost his temper 25 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Filzbuch:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FSV Lanzenhausen:s goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Mathias Drewniak managed to get in a good position for a shot. FSV Lanzenhausen's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathias Drewniak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Klaus Bettinger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ralph Thomaschewski's late challenge caught a FSV Lanzenhausen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ralph Thomaschewski helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Filzbuch's Ralph Thomaschewski got a free kick in the 33rd minute. When FSV Lanzenhausen's Mathias Drewniak in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Filzbuch's goalie prevented a goal. If Amos Hofmeister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mathias Drewniak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Khalid Thieme's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Klaus Bettinger was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. After 56 played minutes Filzbuch got a freekick which was hit by Ralph Mentrup. Mathias Drewniak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Klaus Bettinger having to make a save. In the 58th minute, Amos Hofmeister ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Klaus Bettinger was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Dennis Neu charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dennis Neu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 75 played minutes Filzbuch got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Neu. In the 76th minute Rik Hettlich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klaus Bettinger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82ndth minute of the game Amos Hofmeister who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Filzbuch's Klaus Bettinger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Klaus Bettinger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 89 minutes, Mathias Drewniak made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Filzbuch's Klaus Bettinger tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 93rd minute, Ralph Thomaschewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amos Hofmeister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FSV Lanzenhausen walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
