Spectators: 5115 (Terracing: 4100, Seating: 1010, VIP seats: 5) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Friedrich Boback took the kick off in the first half of the match. Lewis Zacher charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lewis Zacher the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd match minute, Attenhausen FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lewis Zacher to maneuver through the defense. Attenhausen FSV's Friedrich Boback got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Uwe Brett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, Attenhausen FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Ehrhard Hermbusch came free, but Michael Lindner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Friedrich Boback sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 20 minutes, Lewis Zacher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Attenhausen FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lewis Zacher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st match minute, Gelb Rot lions was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Kamin to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Uwe Brett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ehrhard Hermbusch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ehrhard Hermbusch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heiko Fischer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uwe Brett in the 31st minute of the match. Johannes Reitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heiko Fischer having to interfere. When Uwe Brett came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Attenhausen FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uwe Brett couldn't finish the play. Heiko Fischer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Friedrich Boback in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ehrhard Hermbusch was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Gelb Rot lions was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Kamin to maneuver through the defense. Uwe Brett took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Heiko Fischer. Heiko Fischer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 71st minute, Friedrich Boback hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Heiko Fischer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Friedrich Boback in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to Attenhausen FSV getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Friedrich Boback hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johannes Reitz during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 80 played minutes Attenhausen FSV got a freekick which was hit by Johannes Reitz. Uwe Bretts short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Heiko Fischer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Friedrich Boback fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heiko Fischer having to interfere. Uwe Brett in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Heiko Fischer, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Friedrich Boback kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Heiko Fischer. That made the score 0-2 in the 97 minute of play. The Gelb Rot lions fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Attenhausen FSV were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
