Dollnhof's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matthias Babel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When Gernot Helpenstein fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 21st minute, Matthias Babel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Holder Zahn was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Jakob Madjlessi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Teiser in the 27th minute of play. Dollnhof's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. For all the effort they put into the match, the TSV 1906 Burkartshain players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dollnhof.
