Dimitrios Duttenhöfer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dirk Kokott, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. If Ehrhard Hermbusch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gelb Rot lions's Heiko Fischer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lutz Breneizeris in the 17th minute of play. If Jochem Rohmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lutz Breneizeris blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Heiko Fischer having to make a save. Lutz Breneizeris might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Heiko Fischer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lutz Breneizeris ran back to his position shaking his head. Lutz Breneizeris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th match minute, Gelb Rot lions was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Rahn to maneuver through the defense. Jochem Rohmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heiko Fischer having to interfere. Heiko Fischer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jochem Rohmann in the 32nd minute of play. Lutz Breneizeris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heiko Fischer having to interfere. Eintracht Prügel were furious when Gunther Kamper was red carded, 40 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 41 played minutes Eintracht Prügel got a freekick which was hit by Gunther Kamper. Dimitrios Duttenhöfer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sigmund Schätzle in the 42nd minute. Lutz Breneizeris hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ehrhard Hermbusch in the 48th minute of play forced Eintracht Prügel's goalkeeper Dimitrios Duttenhöfer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joachim Ackermann to make the kick off. Dimitrios Duttenhöfer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sébastien Meininger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute Ehrhard Hermbusch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitrios Duttenhöfer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lutz Breneizeris struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Heiko Fischer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eintracht Prügel. Lutz Breneizeris recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Eintracht Prügel's Oliver Deutsch got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gelb Rot lions's goalkeeper Heiko Fischer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Sébastien Meininger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dimitrios Duttenhöfer was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Lutz Breneizeris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heiko Fischer having to interfere. In the 76th minute Lutz Breneizeris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heiko Fischer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute Eintracht Prügel were awarded a corner. Lutz Breneizeris went to the cornerflag to take it. Lutz Breneizeris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Heiko Fischer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gelb Rot lions's goalkeeper Heiko Fischer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Gelb Rot lions's zone, Lutz Breneizeris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heiko Fischer came out of the goal and Lutz Breneizeris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Lutz Breneizeris managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eintracht Prügel's supporters rose to their feet, but Lutz Breneizeris was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heiko Fischer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joachim Ackermann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heiko Fischer having to interfere. After 96 minutes, Reiner Stelze mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eintracht Prügel and the Gelb Rot lions players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Eintracht Prügel players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
