Gunter Knoll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harald Toll in the 8th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Harald Toll's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gunter Knoll was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. When Hubertus Schön fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bohmterheide FC's protests and gave Hubertus Schön a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th match minute, Bohmterheide FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hubertus Schön to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, Hanns Gronau had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gunter Knoll. Edoburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hanns Gronau was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Raphael Wuttke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Gunter Knoll successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Harald Toll fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunter Knoll having to interfere. Edoburg's Gunter Knoll proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Edoburg from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Bohmterheide FC booed when Edoburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dierk Adorno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gunter Knoll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harald Toll, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Harald Toll was the one to do the kick off. Hardy Hensel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Wuttke in the 56th minute of play. Edoburg's Gunter Knoll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hanns Gronau in the 60th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Hanns Gronau's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gunter Knoll was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Raphael Wuttke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Hardy Hensel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Harald Toll had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bohmterheide FC's Harald Toll got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gunter Knoll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harald Toll in the 71st minute of play. Gunter Knoll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hanns Gronau, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harald Toll in the 75th minute of play forced Edoburg's goalkeeper Gunter Knoll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gunter Knoll took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hanns Gronau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Max Lütke hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute of the match Alexander Althoff sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gunter Knoll skillfully saved the ball. Raphael Wuttke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the game, Hanns Gronau cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Gunter Knoll was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hanns Gronau took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gunter Knoll. Gunter Knoll dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bohmterheide FC had won after a very even match.
