Timo Lenke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sylvio Scheepers, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Friedrich Nowak during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Fordingbridge Turks FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Friedrich Nowak hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Holger Schmidhuber shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Timo Lenke showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joscha Sieg in the 24th minute of play forced Fordingbridge Turks FC's goalkeeper Timo Lenke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ted Santelmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Zoran Gross made a huge save. A collision led to Pütterhöfe getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Wolf-Dieter Wölfer hit a great ball. When Gregor Mann fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Fordingbridge Turks FC's Timo Lenke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sylvio Scheepers in the 40th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Pütterhöfe's goalkeeper Zoran Gross had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ted Santelmann. With a little luck, Pütterhöfe's Zoran Gross got control of the ball when Ted Santelmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Pütterhöfe booed when Fordingbridge Turks FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulli Schöpfer didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Pütterhöfe's zone, Ted Santelmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zoran Gross came out of the goal and Ted Santelmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Pütterhöfe defense, Ted Santelmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zoran Gross. The Pütterhöfe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zoran Gross should have stopped the shot. Fordingbridge Turks FC's attentive Friedrich Nowak managed to snatch the ball when Ayman Garske made a throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Fordingbridge Turks FC had played much better football throughout.
