Kristian Stier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Überwasser, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The audience was convinced that Günther Rehmer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kristian Stier was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. When Günther Rehmer came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Höhbeck FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Günther Rehmer couldn't finish the play. Claus Nobs made an important save on a dangerous shot by Uwe Voltz in the 33rd minute. After 38 minutes, Gregor Meyers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Berlin and the Höhbeck FSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 38 played minutes FC Berlin got a freekick which was hit by Gregor Meyers. If Günther Rehmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Höhbeck FSV's Emanuel Überwasser got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kristian Stier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Überwasser in the 45th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Emanuel Überwasser got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Raphael Beckfeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FC Berlin's Alessio Kreissler got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Heiner Schwarz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristian Stier having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, FC Berlin's goalkeeper Kristian Stier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Günther Rehmer. When the match was over Höhbeck FSV could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Berlin throughout the match.
