Hubertus Schön kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Bohmterheide FC's Alexander Althoff couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 7th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Die Löwen. Harald Toll received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Aimo Konschal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aimo Konschal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harald Toll in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Leon Riedel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sascha Lichy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Hardy Hensel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hanns Gronau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee gave Bohmterheide FC a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alexander Althoff, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Die Löwen's Aimo Konschal. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Die Löwen's zone, Harald Toll stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aimo Konschal came out of the goal and Harald Toll tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Heimito Hirschberg hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Hanns Gronau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Die Löwen's Aimo Konschal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harald Toll in the 43rd minute of play. The Die Löwen players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bohmterheide FC were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Helmuth Forst to strike the kick off in the second half. Helmuth Forst hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Hanns Gronau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kurt Hetzel charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kurt Hetzel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hanns Gronaus short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Aimo Konschal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Eppo Bulmahn kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Helmuth Forst succeeded in the game's 71st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. If Hanns Gronau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aimo Konschal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hanns Gronau in the 78th minute. In the 82nd minute, Hanns Gronau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Die Löwen's Aimo Konschal got control of the ball when Hanns Gronau tried to sneak it across the goal line.
