Spectators: 7518 (Terracing: 5639, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) Höhbeck FSV's Günther Rehmer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Höhbeck FSV were furious when Raphael Beckfeld was red carded, 6 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Höhbeck FSV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of USAK SPOR 1979:s goal. The goalkeeper, Claus Nobs, was totally fooled by USAK SPOR 1979's Bernd Kraatz, who 8 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Okke Jastrzembowski came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Höhbeck FSV's Emanuel Überwasser. But to his dismay, Emanuel Überwasser quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Heiner Schwarz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Höhbeck FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Heiner Schwarz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Okke Jastrzembowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th minute Höhbeck FSV were awarded a corner. Steffen Kalthoff went to the cornerflag to take it. After a defensive mix-up in USAK SPOR 1979's zone, Heiner Schwarz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Okke Jastrzembowski came out of the goal and Heiner Schwarz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emanuel Überwasser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Höhbeck FSV's goalkeeper Claus Nobs, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 31st minute Burt Klösters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claus Nobs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Kapteina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Höhbeck FSV's Diego Wimmer got a free kick in the 36th minute. Heiner Schwarz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Okke Jastrzembowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Überwasser in the 44th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Burt Klösters made a kick off. In the 57th minute, Luis Kapteina left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The USAK SPOR 1979 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Claus Nobs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Kapteina in the 68th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Höhbeck FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Kapteina came free, but Claus Nobs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heiner Schwarz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Okke Jastrzembowski having to interfere. Emanuel Überwasser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes in the game Emanuel Überwasser got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. Heiner Schwarz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Okke Jastrzembowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Überwasser blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Okke Jastrzembowski having to make a save. The supporters of USAK SPOR 1979 booed when Höhbeck FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Günther Rehmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Höhbeck FSV's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because USAK SPOR 1979 had won, even though Höhbeck FSV had held more of the ball.
