Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Frederik Walde got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, Burt Klösters got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of USAK SPOR 1979 booed when FC Gerolstein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donny Jüngling didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Frederik Walde kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Okke Jastrzembowski. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Viktor Schneidewind during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 14 minutes into the game, Maiko Schreiner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. USAK SPOR 1979's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Gerolstein the free kick. After 14 played minutes USAK SPOR 1979 got a freekick which was hit by Maiko Schreiner. Okke Jastrzembowski acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 15th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gerold Joder. 17 minutes into the game, Frederik Walde recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Okke Jastrzembowski. Frederik Walde showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Frederik Walde hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute Frederik Walde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Okke Jastrzembowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karsten Damerau kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Karl-Georg Bartels could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Okke Jastrzembowski made a huge save. Karsten Damerau charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karsten Damerau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd match minute, USAK SPOR 1979 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karsten Damerau to maneuver through the defense. If Frederik Walde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Gerolstein's Frederik Walde got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Okke Jastrzembowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederik Walde in the 40th minute of play. Eberhard Meier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markus Melcher in the 42nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frederik Walde during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Markus Melcher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Markus Melcher made a kick off. Viktor Schneidewind hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 54 minutes into the match, Markus Melcher had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eberhard Meier. FC Gerolstein's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Markus Melcher was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Okke Jastrzembowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Okke Jastrzembowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Georg Bartels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl-Georg Bartels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Okke Jastrzembowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 67 minutes, Markus Melcher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. USAK SPOR 1979's supporters crossed their fingers, but Markus Melcher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th match minute, USAK SPOR 1979 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mads Felski to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl-Georg Bartels in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Okke Jastrzembowski saved USAK SPOR 1979 from getting behind. Karl-Georg Bartels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Okke Jastrzembowski having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, USAK SPOR 1979's goal looked a bit too open when Wolfhard Hannemann came free, but Okke Jastrzembowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute Karl-Georg Bartels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Okke Jastrzembowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 minutes of play USAK SPOR 1979's Maiko Schreiner was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Maiko Schreiner kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Karl-Georg Bartels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Okke Jastrzembowski having to interfere. USAK SPOR 1979's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
