Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Simeon Adamek kicked off to start the match. Die Löwen's Helmuth Forst got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Mark Zilles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fritz Ernst Nimz fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brenschede FC's protests and gave Fritz Ernst Nimz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th minute, Fritz Ernst Nimz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aimo Konschal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simeon Adamek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Simeon Adamek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aimo Konschal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute Sascha Lichy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Udo Bokan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simeon Adamek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37thth minute of the game Mark Zilles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Die Löwen's Aimo Konschal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sascha Lichy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Udo Bokan having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Helmuth Forst notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Brenschede FC's Udo Bokan. Udo Bokan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Die Löwen's zone, Mark Zilles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aimo Konschal came out of the goal and Mark Zilles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fritz Ernst Nimz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aimo Konschal having to interfere. 57 minutes into the game, one of Die Löwen:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 58th minute there was a penalty for Brenschede FC. Berthold Langer stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Aimo Konschal. 2-2. Kester Schimpf's late challenge caught a Die Löwen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kester Schimpf helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st match minute, Brenschede FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kester Schimpf to maneuver through the defense. After 65 minutes of play, Brenschede FC's Fritz Ernst Nimz made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aimo Konschal was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 68 played minutes Brenschede FC got a freekick which was hit by Simeon Adamek. In the 71st minute, Bernhard Friedrich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Helmuth Forst managed to get in a good position for a shot. Die Löwen's supporters rose to their feet, but Helmuth Forst was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Udo Bokan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernhard Friedrich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 85 in the game by Kester Schimpf from a close distance when the talented Aimo Konschal managed to make a qualified save. Die Löwen's players were relieved. In the 88th minute Brenschede FC were awarded a corner. Berthold Langer went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Brenschede FC's corner Berthold Langer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aimo Konschal quite easily take care of the ball. 90 minutes into the game, Mark Zilles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Aimo Konschal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 94 minutes into the game, Peter Rall was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Die Löwen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brenschede FC the free kick. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Die Löwen! If Mark Zilles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 101st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brenschede FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
