In the 9th match minute, Gonso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lennert Morek to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Peter Schön's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Moritz Posch was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Malte Aumann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Straal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olaf Glatzer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malte Aumann having to interfere. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Gonso's goalkeeper Malte Aumann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Gonso's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Straal came free, but Malte Aumann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute Olaf Glatzer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malte Aumann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Olaf Glatzer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Gonso getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Torsten Albers hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, FC Dag Barcelona's Horst Sell broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kai Blomke got free with Moritz Posch in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Malte Aumann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Straal in the 41st minute of the match. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leon Straal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the last second Malte Aumann throw himself and got hold of the ball when Leon Straal in the 63rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. When Kai Blomke came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Gonso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kai Blomke couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Gonso's zone, Leon Straal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Malte Aumann came out of the goal and Leon Straal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 75 minutes, Matthias Beushausen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Dag Barcelona and the Gonso players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th match minute, FC Dag Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthias Beushausen to maneuver through the defense.
