The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rick Hörnschemeyer charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rick Hörnschemeyer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th match minute, Coldemüntje was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rick Hörnschemeyer to maneuver through the defense. Wolf-Dieter Ruck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Welf Krasselt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arend Rossel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Coldemüntje getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Rick Hörnschemeyer hit a great ball. When Rick Hörnschemeyer was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 20 minutes had been played. Rick Hörnschemeyer hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Philipp Merod might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Welf Krasselt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Philipp Merod ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 24th match minute, Coldemüntje was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nat Zeitzmann to maneuver through the defense. Wolf-Dieter Ruck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Uli Herkner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wolf-Dieter Ruck in the 31st minute of play forced Rödersbach's goalkeeper Uli Herkner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Rödersbach's zone, Wolf-Dieter Ruck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uli Herkner came out of the goal and Wolf-Dieter Ruck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Welf Krasselt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arend Rossel in the 46th minute of play.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Philipp Merod in the 59th minute of play forced Coldemüntje's goalkeeper Welf Krasselt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arend Rossel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rödersbach's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carlo Kronenberg in the 69th minute. The corner led Rödersbach's Carlo Kronenberg to fire away a dangerous shot which Welf Krasselt despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arend Rossel in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Welf Krasselt saved Coldemüntje from getting behind. Philipp Merod sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nat Zeitzmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Wolf-Dieter Ruck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coldemüntje's supporters rose to their feet, but Wolf-Dieter Ruck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Uli Herkner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Uli Herkner came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Coldemüntje's Wolf-Dieter Ruck. But to his dismay, Wolf-Dieter Ruck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Wolf-Dieter Ruck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Uli Herkner made a huge save. Josef Krause hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Philipp Merod fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Welf Krasselt having to interfere. The supporters of Coldemüntje booed when Rödersbach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miroslav Ratzel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Coldemüntje's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
