The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thies Reck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Uli Herkner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bad Schussenried's goalkeeper Rochus Hovermann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 24 minutes into the game, Thies Reck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bad Schussenried's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rödersbach the free kick. 30 minutes into the match, Rödersbach's Arend Rossel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rochus Hovermann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, Bad Schussenried's Thies Reck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Uli Herkner narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thies Reck was the one to do the kick off. Bad Schussenried's Thies Reck got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 54th minute, Rödersbach's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Harald Deinbeck fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience was convinced that Thies Reck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Uli Herkner was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Uli Herkner made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Harald Deinbeck sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thies Reck in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Uli Herkner saved Rödersbach from getting behind. 73 minutes into the match, Bad Schussenried's goal looked a bit too open when Arend Rossel came free, but Rochus Hovermann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th match minute, Bad Schussenried was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduard Bilharz to maneuver through the defense. If Thies Reck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84thth minute of the game Thies Reck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rödersbach's Uli Herkner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rödersbach's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Thies Reck 86 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. 92 minutes into the game, Harald Deinbeck cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Uli Herkner was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Uli Herkner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thies Reck in the 97th minute of the match. When the match was over Bad Schussenried could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rödersbach throughout the match.
