After a defensive mix-up in Hultrop's zone, Kai Blomke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valerian Nowak came out of the goal and Kai Blomke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute of the match Raimund Buschmeyer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valerian Nowak skillfully saved the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Gonso's Raimund Buschmeyer broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Peter Schön had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Torsten Albers during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gonso's Torsten Albers got a free kick in the 18th minute. Valerian Nowak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kai Blomke, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute, Peter Schön left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gonso fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Peter Schön was the one to do the kick off. Torsten Albers took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valerian Nowak. Valerian Nowak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.
