Spectators: 6872 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Thies Reck made the kick off and thus started the match. Torsten Hörnle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rochus Hovermann having to make a save. 7 minutes into the match, Harald Deinbeck notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Unterreit's Willibald Grassow. Willibald Grassow was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thies Reck struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Willibald Grassow didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bad Schussenried. After a defensive mix-up in Bad Schussenried's zone, Torsten Hörnle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rochus Hovermann came out of the goal and Torsten Hörnle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rochus Hovermann made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Torsten Hörnle sent off a good shot on target. Raphael Watzek kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Willibald Grassow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thies Reck in the 23rd minute of play. Thies Reck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute, Umberto Mühlhäußer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Harald Deinbeck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bad Schussenried's supporters rose to their feet, but Harald Deinbeck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Willibald Grassow breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harald Deinbeck in the 36th minute of play forced Unterreit's goalkeeper Willibald Grassow to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Unterreit's goal looked a bit too open when Harald Deinbeck came free, but Willibald Grassow reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Willibald Grassow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thies Reck in the 44th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ilja Staudenhöchte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Bad Schussenried getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Reinhold Rathje hit a great ball. Unterreit's Willibald Grassow proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Unterreit from getting a goal against them. Harald Deinbeck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Willibald Grassow tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Unterreit's goalkeeper Willibald Grassow had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Harald Deinbeck. After having played for 69 minutes, Harald Deinbeck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bad Schussenried's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harald Deinbeck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 71 minutes, Umberto Mühlhäußer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Unterreit and the Bad Schussenried players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 71 played minutes Unterreit got a freekick which was hit by Umberto Mühlhäußer. After recieving a nice pass, Bad Schussenried's Lino Pietsch tried to score from far away in the 72nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Unterreit's Uwe Hasselfeldt got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Rochus Hovermann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torsten Hörnle, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Thies Reck was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 82nd minute. Bad Schussenried's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With his leg Willibald Grassow managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Bad Schussenried's Harald Deinbeck fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thies Reck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harald Deinbeck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Willibald Grassow tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Willibald Grassow made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Harald Deinbeck sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd play minute Harald Deinbeck came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Willibald Grassow. 0-2. Bad Schussenried's Harald Deinbeck got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bad Schussenried's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
