Delfim de Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornelis Stotz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lehenwies's Delfim de Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corvinus Ruthus in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to Lehenwies getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Faruk Winheim hit a great ball. When Bert Fiedler fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hultrop's protests and gave Bert Fiedler a yellow card for diving instead. Bert Fiedler hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Valerian Nowak was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Faruk Winheim. The audience cheered loudly when Faruk Winheim's long shot in the 32nd minute became 1-0 when the ball went to the left of and passed Valerian Nowak. If Jochen Muhr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delfim de Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornelis Stotz, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Raimund Lamp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valerian Nowak having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Corvinus Ruthus to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Ernst Siemienski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lehenwies's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernst Siemienski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valerian Nowak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hannes Matzkies in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Raimund Lamp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valerian Nowak was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When Raimund Lamp came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Lehenwies fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raimund Lamp couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corvinus Ruthus in the 73rd minute of play forced Lehenwies's goalkeeper Delfim de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Lehenwies getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Raimund Lamp hit a great ball. In the 76th minute Corvinus Ruthus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim de Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raimund Lamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Valerian Nowak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raimund Lamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jochen Muhr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valerian Nowak having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lehenwies fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hultrop had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
