Spectators: 6873 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) With an all-out effort, Unterreit's Ulf Zöller threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ilja Staudenhöchte, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Ilja Staudenhöchte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Kai Gläßel managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Frankfurt's supporters rose to their feet, but Kai Gläßel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Willibald Grassow breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th minute Aimo Bauer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willibald Grassow saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kai Gläßel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Willibald Grassow having to make a save. After 16 minutes of play, FC Frankfurt's Kai Gläßel made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Willibald Grassow was left in no man's land by his defense there! 19 minutes into the game, FC Frankfurt's Aimo Bauer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Willibald Grassow made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Sigi Braster charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sigi Braster the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd minute, one of Unterreit:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Unterreit. Ulf Zöller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilja Staudenhöchte in the 28th minute of the match. In the 38thth minute of the game Aimo Bauer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Unterreit's Willibald Grassow was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Unterreit's zone, Aimo Bauer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Willibald Grassow came out of the goal and Aimo Bauer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When FC Frankfurt's Aimo Bauer in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Unterreit's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Unterreit's Gideon Götz got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Willibald Grassow took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kai Gläßel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kai Gläßel in the 45th minute of play forced Unterreit's goalkeeper Willibald Grassow to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torsten Hörnle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulf Zöller having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kai Gläßel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aimo Bauer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Unterreit's Michael Elser got a free kick in the 54th minute. Ilja Staudenhöchte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulf Zöller having to interfere. In the 64th minute, one of Unterreit:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Unterreit. Kai Gläßel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Frankfurt's Kai Gläßel got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 79 minutes of play, FC Frankfurt's Aimo Bauer made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Willibald Grassow was left in no man's land by his defense there! 85 minutes into the match, Aimo Bauer notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Unterreit's Willibald Grassow. Willibald Grassow was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 93rd minute Kai Gläßel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willibald Grassow saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Aimo Bauer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Unterreit fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Frankfurt were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
