Harald Deinbeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim de Sousa having to interfere. After some careless play in the Bad Schussenried defense, Raimund Lamp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rochus Hovermann. The Bad Schussenried fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rochus Hovermann should have stopped the shot. Delfim de Sousa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harald Deinbeck in the 9th minute. After a rather tough play, Bad Schussenried's Werner Bäuerle got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 17th minute of the match, Thies Reck tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Delfim de Sousa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Simon Wille could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Delfim de Sousa made a huge save. After 24 played minutes Lehenwies got a freekick which was hit by Helmar Schirrmacher. In the 25th minute of the match Lino Pietsch shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Delfim de Sousa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Harald Deinbeck could shoot a difficult shot in the 26th minute, which Delfim de Sousa however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Lehenwies getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Jochen Muhr hit a great ball. Delfim de Sousa acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 29th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Lino Pietsch. Hannes Matzkies charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hannes Matzkies the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Lehenwies getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Hannes Matzkies hit a great ball. When Thies Reck came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Bad Schussenried fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thies Reck couldn't finish the play. Raimund Lamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lehenwies's Raimund Lamp got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Lehenwies getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Jochen Muhr hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Bad Schussenried's Werner Bäuerle got a free kick in the 44th minute. Rochus Hovermann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jochen Muhr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Lehenwies were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 54 played minutes Lehenwies got a freekick which was hit by Faruk Winheim. Delfim de Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Wille, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After 59 played minutes Lehenwies got a freekick which was hit by Faruk Winheim. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thies Reck in the 60th minute of play forced Lehenwies's goalkeeper Delfim de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Lehenwies getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Helmar Schirrmacher hit a great ball. Lino Pietsch took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Delfim de Sousa. Lehenwies's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 69th minute Raphael Watzek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim de Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Delfim de Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thies Reck, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 76 minutes into the match, Lehenwies's goal looked a bit too open when Wilken Flad came free, but Delfim de Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute Emanuel Sobieray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rochus Hovermann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Delfim de Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Watzek in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thies Reck in the 89th minute of play forced Lehenwies's goalkeeper Delfim de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raimund Lamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Werner Bäuerle was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 91 minutes had been played. In the 91st minute, Werner Bäuerle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Raimund Lamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Bad Schussenried manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Lehenwies to win.
