With a left leg Uli Herkner saved Rödersbach from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Palle Busch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kampe's supporters rose to their feet, but Palle Busch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Uli Herkner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 5 minutes into the match, Raik Lützen notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Rödersbach's Uli Herkner. Uli Herkner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Efraim Elzer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philipp Merod, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After a rather tough play, Kampe's Konrad Aigner got a free kick in the 10th minute. Raik Lützen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Palle Busch might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Uli Herkner. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Palle Busch ran back to his position shaking his head. Kajetan Hoppensack sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felipe Schoel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uli Herkner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raik Lützen in the 25th minute of play forced Rödersbach's goalkeeper Uli Herkner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Palle Busch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Uli Herkner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 played minutes Rödersbach got a freekick which was hit by Dietmar Gauger. When Palle Busch came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Kampe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Palle Busch couldn't finish the play. In the 33rdth minute of the game Raik Lützen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rödersbach's Uli Herkner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rödersbach's goalkeeper Uli Herkner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Kajetan Hoppensack had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raik Lützen in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uli Herkner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Felipe Schoel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arend Rossel to make the kick off.
