Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Danny Frank took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some careless play in the Dresden FC defense, Aydin Binninger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Noah Rivoir. The Dresden FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Noah Rivoir should have stopped the shot. FC Bayern München's Lothar Gaul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmond Kästel in the 6th minute of play. Jan Bulling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmond Kästel in the 9th minute of play forced FC Bayern München's goalkeeper Lothar Gaul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Jan Bulling managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dresden FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Bulling was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lothar Gaul breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute Edmond Kästel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lothar Gaul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dresden FC's Jan Bulling in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Bayern München's goalie prevented a goal. Noah Rivoir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danny Frank, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. If Danny Frank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lothar Gaul didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jan Bulling went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 35th minute, Aydin Binninger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Torsten Lahann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Danny Frank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Noah Rivoir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Dresden FC's Noah Rivoir got control of the ball when Aydin Binninger tried to sneak it across the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, FC Bayern München's Danny Frank nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Noah Rivoir made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmond Kästel made a kick off. Lothar Gaul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmond Kästel, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Edmond Kästel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lothar Gaul read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Jan Bulling made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 58thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Lothar Gaul would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Jan Bullings short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Lothar Gaul to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Noah Rivoir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danny Frank, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Danny Frank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the game, Edmond Kästel lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Lothar Gaul. 75 minutes into the game, Hartmut Jägerstätter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dresden FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Bayern München the free kick. A collision led to Dresden FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Hartmut Jägerstätter hit a great ball. In the 80th match minute, Dresden FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Bulling to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC Bayern München booed when Dresden FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmond Kästel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aydin Binninger blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Noah Rivoir having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Dresden FC's zone, Danny Frank stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noah Rivoir came out of the goal and Danny Frank tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aydin Binninger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Danny Frank's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Noah Rivoir was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. In the 95th minute, Danny Frank ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Noah Rivoir was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Dresden FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
