To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Toralf Polster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viktor Böhm having to interfere. A collision led to Köper getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Conny Ernstberger hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the match, Yalova SK's Raiko Schott broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Jindrich Hauk came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Yalova SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jindrich Hauk couldn't finish the play. Toralf Polster's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viktor Böhm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. If Esau Frenzle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esau Frenzle in the 33rd minute of play forced Yalova SK's goalkeeper Gil Breche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raiko Schott kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Erik Brand kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Yalova SK's goal looked a bit too open when Esau Frenzle came free, but Gil Breche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esau Frenzle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Gil Breche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adam Schock's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gil Breche read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 49th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

A collision led to Köper getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Michael Ahlf hit a great ball. Raiko Schott took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Viktor Böhm. Köper's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 61st match minute, Köper was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conny Ernstberger to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute Toralf Polster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viktor Böhm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adam Schock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Köper's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Esau Frenzle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Breche having to interfere. Viktor Böhm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toralf Polster in the 93rd minute of play. In the 96th minute, Esau Frenzle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Köper fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Köper's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
