When Waldemar Aust got free in front of the goal in the 4th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Joachim Mukengechay was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Konstantin Gradistanac in the 5th minute of play forced Heelden FSV's goalkeeper Joachim Mukengechay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joachim Mukengechay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Konstantin Gradistanac in the 7th minute of the match. After 8 minutes, Lars Metzner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Heelden FSV and the Gengenbacher FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th minute, Lars Metzner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Konstantin Gradistanac fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joachim Mukengechay having to interfere. Diego Kläser's late challenge caught a Heelden FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Kläser helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Gengenbacher FC's Diego Kläser got a free kick in the 18th minute. Heelden FSV's Marko Itzerott was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Heiko Blachstein in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lars Metzner in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Heiko Blachstein prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Heelden FSV booed when Gengenbacher FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hagen Knodel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Waldemar Aust managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gengenbacher FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Waldemar Aust was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joachim Mukengechay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute Konstantin Gradistanac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joachim Mukengechay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Waldemar Aust got free with Joachim Mukengechay in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Waldemar Aust who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Joachim Mukengechay when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Konstantin Gradistanac came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Gengenbacher FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Konstantin Gradistanac couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Heelden FSV's Joachim Mukengechay got control of the ball when Waldemar Aust tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 44 played minutes Heelden FSV got a freekick which was hit by Niklas Ziolkowski. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Konstantin Gradistanac was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lars Metzner got free with Heiko Blachstein in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 62 minutes of play Gengenbacher FC's Diego Kläser was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 63rd minute, Diego Kläser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Gengenbacher FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Hagen Knodel hit a great ball. If Silas Vaerst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Lars Metzner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 79 played minutes Gengenbacher FC got a freekick which was hit by Anton Kirchner. Gengenbacher FC's Heiko Blachstein proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Gengenbacher FC from getting a goal against them. 84 minutes into the match, Heelden FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Aust came free, but Joachim Mukengechay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heelden FSV's Joachim Mukengechay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Aust in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Heelden FSV's Niklas Ziolkowski got a free kick in the 86th minute. Konstantin Gradistanac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldemar Aust in the 91st minute of play forced Heelden FSV's goalkeeper Joachim Mukengechay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joachim Mukengechay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Winfried Willmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Waldemar Aust sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
