Spectators: 6220 (Terracing: 4700, Seating: 1520, VIP seats: 0) Kieler ESV's Karol Steffen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Klaus Zichmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gösloh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kieler ESV the free kick. 4 minutes into the match, Gösloh's goal looked a bit too open when Tyler Schlenz came free, but Tino Decker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th match minute, Gösloh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars Bleicher to maneuver through the defense. When Tyler Schlenz came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Kieler ESV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tyler Schlenz couldn't finish the play. Ulrich Dunz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Tino Decker made a huge save. Klaus Zichmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Karol Steffen could shoot a difficult shot in the 24th minute, which Tino Decker however easily saved by the left post. Ulrich Dunz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Tino Decker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 minutes of play, Kieler ESV's Ulrich Dunz made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tino Decker was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tyler Schlenz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Ulrich Dunz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kieler ESV's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulrich Dunz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tino Decker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 42 minutes into the match, Gösloh's goal looked a bit too open when Tyler Schlenz came free, but Tino Decker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tyler Schlenz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Tino Decker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tino Decker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tyler Schlenz in the 46th minute of the match. Karol Steffen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lars Bleicher to make the kick off. Karol Steffen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karol Steffen in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tino Decker saved Gösloh from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karol Steffen in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tino Decker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roswin Kloppers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Tino Decker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tino Decker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berend Thielemann in the 71st minute of play. After 73 minutes Gösloh's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Berend Thielemann who took care of the corner kick. Karol Steffen struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Tino Decker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kieler ESV. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Karol Steffen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kieler ESV's supporters rose to their feet, but Karol Steffen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tino Decker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Klaus Zichmann was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 93 minutes had been played. Klaus Zichmann hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karol Steffen in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tino Decker saved Gösloh from getting behind.
