The referee showed Paul Uhrig the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Villingen-Schweninngen SV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hübenthal:s goal. Henning Rennicke had in the 6thth minute some difficulties stopping Arnulf Petri's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. In the 14th minute there was a penalty for Villingen-Schweninngen SV. Niccolo Hauffen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Balthasar Frühwirt. 1-0. The supporters of Hübenthal booed when Villingen-Schweninngen SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikolaos Lackmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Hübenthal's Kort Jahr nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henning Rennicke made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The audience was convinced that Kort Jahr's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henning Rennicke was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Lutger Weibler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Balthasar Frühwirt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erk Grytz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A hard shot 49 in the game by Erk Grytz from a close distance when the talented Balthasar Frühwirt managed to make a qualified save. Hübenthal's players were relieved. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

In the 58th minute, Villingen-Schweninngen SV's Paul Uhrig seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Paul Uhrig the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Villingen-Schweninngen SV protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Paul Uhrig had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. When the match had been going on for 60 minutes, Hübenthal's Arnulf Petri got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Henning Rennicke. Kort Jahr was extremely unlucky when he, in the 64th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nikolaos Lackmann during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th minute of the match Arnulf Petri sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henning Rennicke skillfully saved the ball. In the 79th minute, Giovane Brugger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Florian Achenbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the game, Giovane Brugger recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Henning Rennicke. Giovane Brugger showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. The Hübenthal players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
