Thomas Brunar was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 28 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in 1. After the first half Plottendorf were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 53 played minutes Plottendorf got a freekick which was hit by Marvin Hoffmann. 55 minutes into the match, 1. FC Schwachköpfe's goal looked a bit too open when Amerigo Blacha came free, but Volker Ahrens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 56 played minutes Plottendorf got a freekick which was hit by Julius Bovenschen. A collision led to 1. FC Schwachköpfe getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Thomas van der Walt hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Amerigo Blacha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Plottendorf's supporters rose to their feet, but Amerigo Blacha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Volker Ahrens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Amerigo Blacha came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Plottendorf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amerigo Blacha couldn't finish the play. Jules Heinrici hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Raphael Feierabend received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Volker Ahrens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivar Kaminski's late challenge caught a Plottendorf's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivar Kaminski helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, 1. FC Schwachköpfe's Ivar Kaminski got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 79th match minute, 1. FC Schwachköpfe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kai Gehlhaar to maneuver through the defense. After 85 minutes, Kai Gehlhaar mouthed his way into the referee's book.
