The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Stefan Schlief had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The supporters of FC Roxel booed when Plottendorf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Gütermann didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 23 minutes, Alex Joachimsmeier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Roxel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Joachimsmeier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Joachimsmeier in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karlo Reiner saved Plottendorf from getting behind. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Plottendorf's goalkeeper Karlo Reiner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Raphael Feierabend came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Plottendorf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raphael Feierabend couldn't finish the play. Tobias Haileck didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raphael Feierabend went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stefan Schlief was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, André Uhl was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Plottendorf's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Roxel the free kick. André Uhl hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. FC Roxel's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 75th minute Raphael Feierabend shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Haileck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alex Joachimsmeier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stefan Schlief struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Karlo Reiner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Roxel. 84 minutes into the match, FC Roxel's goal looked a bit too open when Amerigo Blacha came free, but Tobias Haileck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Julius Bovenschen during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alex Joachimsmeier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karlo Reiner having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Feierabend in the 90th minute of play forced FC Roxel's goalkeeper Tobias Haileck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stefan Schlief received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Karlo Reiner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Roxel's Tobias Haileck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amerigo Blacha in the 96th minute of play.
