The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rudi Terstappen took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henning Rennicke. Henning Rennicke dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Lutger Weibler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Villingen-Schweninngen SV's Erk Grytz got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Erk Grytz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilbert Bardhan having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nikolaos Lackmann during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hilbert Bardhan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erk Grytz went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Eckart Wieczorek hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, SSC Eberswalde's goal looked a bit too open when Lutger Weibler came free, but Hilbert Bardhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erk Grytz scored 1-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hilbert Bardhan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lutger Weibler was the one to do the kick off. After 60 minutes SSC Eberswalde's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Niccolo Hauffen who took care of the corner kick. Niccolo Hauffen made a great header on Villingen-Schweninngen SV's corner, it was just that SSC Eberswalde's Hilbert Bardhan managed to reach the ball for a save. Henning Rennicke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klara Propst in the 67th minute of the match. After 92 played minutes SSC Eberswalde got a freekick which was hit by Eckart Wieczorek. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind SSC Eberswalde's goalkeeper Hilbert Bardhan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Villingen-Schweninngen SV had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
