Union Giesenhausen's Elmar Küpper got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Sebastian Klomfaß had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Apollo Hotzy was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Michele Hamacher capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Michele Hamacher really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Urs Garbe took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Felix Horrer to make any attempt to save it. When Urs Garbe came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Grammersdorf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urs Garbe couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Grammersdorf's Oliver Skutnik got a free kick in the 96th minute.
