Felix Horrer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fortunato Jaspers's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Union Giesenhausen's Michele Hamacher got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Folko Stober had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Union Giesenhausen's supporters rose to their feet, but Michele Hamacher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adam Yost breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 91 minutes into the game, Union Giesenhausen's Michele Hamacher nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adam Yost made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0.
