When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michele Hamacher made a kick off. Felix Horrer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maximilian Birk went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. If Maximilian Birk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Union Giesenhausen's goalkeeper Felix Horrer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hartwig Schüttler got free with Heiko Huffschmid in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 65 minutes into the game, Lemmy Dogan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DSC Arminia Bielefeld's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Union Giesenhausen the free kick. After a rather tough play, DSC Arminia Bielefeld's Benny Baltzer got a free kick in the 90th minute. DSC Arminia Bielefeld's Lovis Urgien got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. DSC Arminia Bielefeld's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
