Heiko Huffschmid stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leo Unger's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. After a rather tough play, Eutscheid's Leo Unger got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute of the match Kurt Sonnenberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabian Fehr showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A hard shot 23 in the game by Robin Mussauer from a close distance when the talented Heiko Huffschmid managed to make a qualified save. DSC Arminia Bielefeld's players were relieved. Robin Mussauer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Heiko Huffschmid came out and tried to block the shot, but Robin Mussauer slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 38th minute. If Lovis Urgien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Björn Schaede to make the kick off. After some careless play in the DSC Arminia Bielefeld defense, Leo Unger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Heiko Huffschmid. The DSC Arminia Bielefeld fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Heiko Huffschmid should have stopped the shot. Robin Mussauer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Heiko Huffschmid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Björn Schaede left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eutscheid fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. 70 minutes into the game, Eutscheid's Björn Schaede nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Heiko Huffschmid made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Björn Schaede in the 73rd minute of play forced DSC Arminia Bielefeld's goalkeeper Heiko Huffschmid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Björn Schaede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximilian Birk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Fabian Fehr made a huge save. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind DSC Arminia Bielefeld's goalkeeper Heiko Huffschmid, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Robin Mussauer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Eutscheid's zone, Maximilian Birk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabian Fehr came out of the goal and Maximilian Birk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Eutscheid fans cheered their team off the field, for while DSC Arminia Bielefeld had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
