Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gerold Bethge was slow to take the kick. During this time Kiekbusch's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Timo Honsel managed to volley towards the net. Gerd Gill could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Josef Pofalla made a huge save. Odo Petershagen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerlach Brachmann in the 46th minute of the match. FC Liverpool JR's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
