In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lambsheim Lions's goalkeeper Günther Rossmann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FC Liverpool JR's Gerlach Brachmann got a free kick in the 13th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dolf Mölleken got free with Günther Rossmann in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Reto Schindler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josef Pofalla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Montgomery Drechsel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. René Borkowski kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Dolf Mölleken struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Günther Rossmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Liverpool JR. When Dolf Mölleken came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the FC Liverpool JR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dolf Mölleken couldn't finish the play. Günther Rossmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerald Grünberger in the 41st minute. Dolf Mölleken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Günther Rossmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Lambsheim Lions's Günther Rossmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dolf Mölleken in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute of the match FC Liverpool JR got a corner. Lambsheim Lions's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gerlach Brachmann ran over to the corner to take the kick. 57 minutes into the match, FC Liverpool JR's Thoralf Hecker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Günther Rossmann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eckart Garczyk's late challenge caught a Lambsheim Lions's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eckart Garczyk helped the player get up and apologised. After 59 played minutes FC Liverpool JR got a freekick which was hit by Eckart Garczyk. If Gerald Grünberger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wolfgang Schumacher hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Günther Rossmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dolf Mölleken in the 70th minute of the match. Lambsheim Lions's Günther Rossmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dolf Mölleken in the 71st minute of play. Günther Rossmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dolf Mölleken in the 73rd minute of play. Dolf Mölleken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Günther Rossmann having to interfere. When Gerald Grünberger came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the FC Liverpool JR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerald Grünberger couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Dolf Mölleken's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Günther Rossmann was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Thoralf Hecker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Günther Rossmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Wolfgang Schumacher kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Montgomery Drechsel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josef Pofalla having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Liverpool JR's zone, Reto Schindler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josef Pofalla came out of the goal and Reto Schindler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Liverpool JR fully deserved thier win.
