Eusebio Maisch who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Albert Westrich when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Eusebio Maisch managed to get in a good position for a shot. SuS Bad Westernkotten's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusebio Maisch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albert Westrich breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amir Recht sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as SuS Bad Westernkotten's Sven Heil slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Albert Westrich. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. Eusebio Maischs short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Albert Westrich to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 23rd match minute, SuS Bad Westernkotten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulrik Voss to maneuver through the defense. Eusebio Maisch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Albert Westrich made a huge save. Eusebio Maisch came free with the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Albert Westrich could save by the left post. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Lutter's goalkeeper Albert Westrich, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sven Heil blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albert Westrich having to make a save. Albert Westrich was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Kort Heiß. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sven Heil to strike the kick off in the second half. If Eusebio Maisch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusebio Maisch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Leyh in the 61st minute of play forced SuS Bad Westernkotten's goalkeeper Peer Türke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Sven Heil managed to get in a good position for a shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albert Westrich prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amir Recht sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Eusebio Maisch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albert Westrich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Maisch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albert Westrich stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ruben Eckert's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lutter's zone, Ulrik Voss stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Westrich came out of the goal and Ulrik Voss tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ulrik Voss kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After 92 minutes, Eusebio Maisch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SuS Bad Westernkotten and the Lutter players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 93rd match minute, SuS Bad Westernkotten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebio Maisch to maneuver through the defense.
