But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven Heil couldn't finish the play. SuS Bad Westernkotten's Peer Türke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Friedrich Gotthard in the 9th minute of play. Peer Türke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marek Adasch in the 12th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Eusebio Maisch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Friedrich Gotthard notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SuS Bad Westernkotten's Peer Türke. Peer Türke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrick Hering during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Hövelhof FSV booed when SuS Bad Westernkotten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Hering didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 26 minutes, Friedrich Gotthard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hövelhof FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Friedrich Gotthard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to SuS Bad Westernkotten getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Artur Pitterling hit a great ball. Lars Bischof took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Peer Türke. SuS Bad Westernkotten's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 35 minutes, Marek Adasch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hövelhof FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marek Adasch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peer Türke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marek Adasch in the 37th minute of the match. If Sven Heil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hövelhof FSV's Marek Adasch in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SuS Bad Westernkotten's goalie prevented a goal. When Ralf Stumm fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hövelhof FSV's protests and gave Ralf Stumm a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Hövelhof FSV's Ralf Stumm got a free kick in the 44th minute. With 45 minutes on the clock, Günter Casper commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Hövelhof FSV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SuS Bad Westernkotten:s goal. When the match had been going on for 47 minutes, SuS Bad Westernkotten's Samon Walz got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Luca Huthmann. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Friedrich Gotthard to strike the kick off in the second half. Friedrich Gotthard was extremely unlucky when he, in the 53rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After having played for 55 minutes, Sven Heil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SuS Bad Westernkotten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven Heil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luca Huthmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Maisch, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 58 minutes into the match, SuS Bad Westernkotten's goalkeeper Peer Türke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Friedrich Gotthard. After 63 minutes of play, SuS Bad Westernkotten's Demetrius Szeimies made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luca Huthmann was left in no man's land by his defense there! 66 minutes into the match, SuS Bad Westernkotten's goalkeeper Peer Türke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Friedrich Gotthard. 71 minutes into the match, Hövelhof FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebio Maisch came free, but Luca Huthmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luca Huthmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven Heil in the 74th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulrik Voss during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hövelhof FSV's Lars Bischof couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 77th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SuS Bad Westernkotten. Luca Huthmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Maisch in the 79th minute of the match. Eusebio Maisch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Hövelhof FSV's zone, Sven Heil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luca Huthmann came out of the goal and Sven Heil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute Sven Heil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luca Huthmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SuS Bad Westernkotten fully deserved thier win.
