Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dustin Haug got the match started through his kick off. In the 7th match minute, Abgunst was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyler Kampf to maneuver through the defense. If Dustin Haug had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hans Metzner came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Abgunst's Dustin Haug. But to his dismay, Dustin Haug quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 17th minute, Apollo Bürklen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Catterfeld's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Eckhard Kittler scored to the left of an out of position Hans Metzner, making the score, 2-0. Hans Metzner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andy Reile in the 23rd minute. The supporters of Catterfeld booed when Abgunst was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apollo Bürklen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dustin Haug recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd minute, Till Hohlfeld left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Catterfeld fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Onno Heimeier took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fridun Lübke. Fridun Lübke dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. A collision led to Abgunst getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Karsten Rupp hit a great ball. Hans Metzner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dustin Haug in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Catterfeld's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tyler Kampf was slow to take the kick. During this time Abgunst's players had a chance to rest. 47 minutes into the game, Catterfeld's Till Hohlfeld nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fridun Lübke made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Glenn Sell made a kick off. Eckhard Kittler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Hans Metzner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Onno Heimeier in the 58th minute of play forced Abgunst's goalkeeper Fridun Lübke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Catterfeld's Fridun Lübke threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Glenn Sell, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Fridun Lübke made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Onno Heimeier sent off a good shot on target. Hans Metzner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dustin Haug, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute, one of Catterfeld:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Catterfeld. Richart Bunje's late challenge caught a Catterfeld's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richart Bunje helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th match minute, Abgunst was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richart Bunje to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Abgunst's Fridun Lübke got control of the ball when Sami Gallois tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dustin Haug received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Hans Metzner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dustin Haug blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hans Metzner having to make a save. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Abgunst players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
