When Anton Bereths fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Drögenbostel FSV's protests and gave Anton Bereths a yellow card for diving instead. Anton Bereths hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Sven Schindler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Remo Marks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthias Schurer, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Wieland Reimann kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After 42 played minutes Drögenbostel FSV got a freekick which was hit by Robert Cürten. Hjalmar Mantel, 43 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Alban Schweizer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wolf Strube having to interfere. In the 46th match minute, Drögenbostel FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Cürten to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Drögenbostel FSV's Wolf Strube got control of the ball when Eduard Stein tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Alban Schweizer made the kick off in the second half. If Matthias Schurer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. Remo Marks stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matthias Schurer's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Rene Böttcher hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Sven Schindler's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Remo Marks firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 74 played minutes Ochtersum got a freekick which was hit by Rene Böttcher. Drögenbostel FSV's Sven Schindler got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Ochtersum defense, Sven Schindler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Remo Marks. The Ochtersum fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remo Marks should have stopped the shot. Drögenbostel FSV's Wolf Strube played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Stein in the 81st minute of play. If Eduard Stein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ochtersum getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Hjalmar Mantel hit a great ball. Matthias Schurer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sven Schindler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remo Marks having to interfere.
