Mattis Schlode showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Piesche in the 10th minute of the match. If Paolo Piesche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 18 played minutes Westhoven FC got a freekick which was hit by Gregor Mitsch. Cyril Alpermann took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mattis Schlode. Westhoven FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Westhoven FC's Gil Remus got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 23 minutes, Paolo Piesche mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Borussia Dortmund and the Westhoven FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Paolo Piesche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gil Remus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Holle having to interfere. In the 27th match minute, Borussia Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harald Prewo to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the game, Willi Schwaebe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borussia Dortmund's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Westhoven FC the free kick. Westhoven FC's August Sahr shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 29th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Albert Holle but with some difficulty.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viktor Keirath to make the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Westhoven FC's Viktor Keirath made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albert Holle was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jochen Röbert kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Viktor Keirath kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Charly Feige was extremely unlucky when he, in the 66th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The audience was convinced that Viktor Keirath's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albert Holle was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Paolo Piesche succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 77th playminute. Viktor Keirath might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albert Holle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Viktor Keirath ran back to his position shaking his head. Gil Remus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Holle having to interfere. Albert Holle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gil Remus's shot from short distance in the 96th minute.
