Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ralf Schenk made the kick off which started today's match. 5 minutes into the match, Niko Pirkner had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Achim Scheufens. SPVGG FFM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niko Pirkner was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind SPVGG FFM's goalkeeper Achim Scheufens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gottlieb Dilling stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Waldo Fenten's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Niko Pirkner took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Achim Scheufens. Achim Scheufens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 17th minute, Niko Pirkner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 19 minutes, Ralf Schenk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatasaray's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ralf Schenk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 23 minutes, Uwe Jaura mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SPVGG FFM and the Galatasaray players grew even worse after the yellow card. Uwe Jaura hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute of the match Claus Bleich sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Achim Scheufens skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Galatasaray booed when SPVGG FFM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uwe Jaura didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Ralf Schenk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Uwe Hofmann to strike the kick off in the second half. If Uwe Hofmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Waldo Fenten came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the SPVGG FFM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldo Fenten couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralf Schenk in the 58th minute of play forced SPVGG FFM's goalkeeper Achim Scheufens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uwe Hofmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gottlieb Dilling having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Ralf Schenk kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Achim Scheufens. That made the score 1-3 in the 61 minute of play. In the 64th minute of the game, Wilfried Lukas landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albert Riemann during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 64th match minute, Galatasaray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Riemann to maneuver through the defense. Philip Wölfle might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gottlieb Dilling. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Philip Wölfle ran back to his position shaking his head. Niko Pirkners short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Achim Scheufens to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ralf Schenk in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Achim Scheufens saved SPVGG FFM from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldo Fenten in the 70th minute of play forced Galatasaray's goalkeeper Gottlieb Dilling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uwe Hofmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gordon Baumbach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gottlieb Dilling having to interfere. When Philip Wölfle came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the SPVGG FFM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Philip Wölfle couldn't finish the play. Waldo Fenten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Galatasaray's Gottlieb Dilling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldo Fenten in the 82nd minute of play. Gordon Baumbach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gottlieb Dilling having to interfere. If Uwe Hofmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When SPVGG FFM's Philip Wölfle in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Galatasaray's goalie prevented a goal. Waldo Fenten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Gottlieb Dilling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
