Spectators: 7499 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) SV Plüderhausen's Ocke Holzner started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Feddo Jokerst could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Claus Apel made a huge save. Neo Berneking made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Hennig in the 8th minute of play. After 10 minutes, Eggert Aumüller mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Meder and the SV Plüderhausen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ocke Holzner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Meder's zone, Samuel Hennig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Neo Berneking came out of the goal and Samuel Hennig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claus Apel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswald Stamm in the 20th minute of play. Claus Apel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oswald Stamm in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 23rd match minute, SV Plüderhausen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Piesche to maneuver through the defense. Oswald Stamm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Feddo Jokerst blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Claus Apel having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oswald Stamm in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claus Apel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 40 minutes into the match, SV Plüderhausen's goal looked a bit too open when Feddo Jokerst came free, but Claus Apel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Hennig struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Neo Berneking didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SV Plüderhausen.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oswald Stamm was the one to do the kick off. Neo Berneking showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ocke Holzner in the 54th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, FC Meder's goalkeeper Neo Berneking had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samuel Hennig. After having played for 57 minutes, Samuel Hennig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SV Plüderhausen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Hennig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, SV Plüderhausen's goal looked a bit too open when Oswald Stamm came free, but Claus Apel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hubertus Bauer kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Samuel Hennig blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Neo Berneking having to make a save. A hard shot by Fidelio Lutze from long distance, 81 minutes into the match, got Neo Berneking's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Samuel Hennig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samuel Hennig came free with the goalkeeper in the 87th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Neo Berneking could save by the left post. After 89 minutes FC Meder's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Gerloff who took care of the corner kick. The corner led SV Plüderhausen's Axel Gerloff to fire away a dangerous shot which Neo Berneking despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Oswald Stamm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claus Apel having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Meder fans cheered their team off the field, for while SV Plüderhausen had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
