Jochen Werkmeister breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eike Godenschwengen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Haileck in the 73rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gunter Paulus in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jochen Werkmeister saved Kallenbach from getting behind. After having played for 92 minutes, Björn Haileck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kallenbach's supporters crossed their fingers, but Björn Haileck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The VFTTF ESSINGEN 2023 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing VFTTF ESSINGEN 2023 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
