Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 20) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ralph Josten took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Butteldorf's Filippo Junker got a free kick in the 2nd minute. A throw-in in the 6th minute of the game was made by Serge Laslo with Andreas Lück as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Peter Hilkes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pinkler FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Peter Hilkes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lothar Miller breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lothar Miller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serge Laslo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Ralph Josten who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Hubert Lamprecht when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Butteldorf booed when Pinkler FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Brendlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Ralph Josten put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hubert Lamprecht. Marcus Weinkauff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Lothar Miller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Pinkler FC's Joseph Brendlin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lothar Miller narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lothar Miller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Hilkes in the 30th minute of play. David Schlottmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Butteldorf were furious when Samir Tolksdorf was red carded, 38 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave Pinkler FC a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Reto Spann, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Butteldorf's Lothar Miller. 1-1. Jakob Fabisch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcus Weinkauff stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Peter Hilkes struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Lothar Miller didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pinkler FC. 57 minutes into the match, Butteldorf's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Weinkauff came free, but Lothar Miller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the game, Filippo Junker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Butteldorf's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pinkler FC the free kick. In the 63rd minute, Filippo Junker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcus Weinkauff got free with Lothar Miller in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lothar Miller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Weinkauff in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute of the match, Peter Hilkes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lothar Miller was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 70 minutes, Joseph Brendlin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pinkler FC and the Butteldorf players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 70th minute, Joseph Brendlin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 72 minutes, Filippo Junker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Butteldorf's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filippo Junker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pinkler FC's Peter Hilkes got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Conrad Gantenbrink recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute, Filippo Junker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Butteldorf fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After 86 played minutes Butteldorf got a freekick which was hit by Filippo Junker. Butteldorf's Lothar Miller proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Butteldorf from getting a goal against them. When Peter Hilkes came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Pinkler FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Hilkes couldn't finish the play. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pinkler FC! In the 96th minute there was a penalty for Butteldorf. Filippo Junker stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hubert Lamprecht. 3-1. Butteldorf's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
