Che Bahlke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, one of KSV Hessen Kassel:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 41st minute there was a penalty for VFTTF ESSINGEN 2023. Leopold Ahlgrimm stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Artur Röhmer. 0-3. In the 47th minute, Anton Buchta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

VFTTF ESSINGEN 2023's Gunter Paulus got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Artur Röhmer made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Toni Nissen sent off a good shot on target. In the 60th minute of the match, Gunter Paulus tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Artur Röhmer saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. VFTTF ESSINGEN 2023's Gunter Paulus got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Artur Röhmer made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Toni Nissen sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gunter Paulus in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artur Röhmer saved KSV Hessen Kassel from getting behind. KSV Hessen Kassel's Artur Röhmer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save KSV Hessen Kassel from getting a goal against them. Toni Nissen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Artur Röhmer made a huge save. After a rather tough play, KSV Hessen Kassel's Raphael Bluhm got a free kick in the 81st minute. 85 minutes into the match, VFTTF ESSINGEN 2023's Gunter Paulus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Artur Röhmer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A hard shot 86 in the game by Toni Nissen from a close distance when the talented Artur Röhmer managed to make a qualified save. KSV Hessen Kassel's players were relieved. After 87 played minutes KSV Hessen Kassel got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Bluhm. In the 88th minute Gunter Paulus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Röhmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Che Bahlke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gunter Paulus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
