After a defensive mix-up in Teichlosen FSV's zone, Siegfried Nierlich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siegfried Nierlich in the 7th minute of play forced Teichlosen FSV's goalkeeper Wolfgang Nacke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Teichlosen FSV's Eros Eichel got a free kick in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Holger Struck in the 15th minute of play forced Bayern Munich's goalkeeper Rouven Obele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Leopold Zenner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rouven Obele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Holger Struck during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Wolfgang Nacke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siegfried Nierlich, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bayern Munich had won after a very even match.
